Similar to jackets priced as much as three times higher than this one, we were a little worried about what we would find in these jackets when they arrived, but we were pleasantly surprised! The Condor Summit is a very nice jacket that really does what they claim. Water beads right off and wind doesn't penetrate, the stowable hood is just right for a downpour, and the zip-vents allow easy control of warmth. With 8 pockets total, each arm features a shoulder pocket with a loop field for patches and a forearm pocket, followed by a chest pocket and an interior mesh pocket on each side. All the pockets are zippered, so there's no noisy hook & loop to deal with. The shoulder pockets and the front chest pockets feature inside facing electronics ports for headphones or Comm wires. Pit-zips are located in, well, the armpits, but there is also another set of vents in the small of the back. Also, as expected with a wind-proof jacket, the waist and hood feature a shock-cord drawstring while the cuffs are hook & loop adjustable to keep the wind out.
We Highly Recommend the Summit Zero Lightweight Soft Shell Jacket!
